Flight Newsletter

Well, we told you last week that Christmas would be hosted online, but there will be a couple of places in Northeast Georgia where you can celebrate in person. Wear your face mask, and we do mean FACE mask.

And in Gainesville, though annual Christmas events have been canceled, Santa says he'll still come to the square to hear what you'd like for Christmas. What are the dangers of sitting on his knee? Well, this for starters.

It's true, we are entering the holiday season, but it sure doesn't feel like it, what with a high of 78 degrees today. Maybe we won't need to tell you what local restaurants are doing as their outdoor spaces close in the "colder months" after all. Still, some say to-go orders may continue to be the answer for people who don't want to be breathing on each other inside.

Speaking of local eateries, we've got a new Tex-Mex joint in Gainesville. And you may be one of the Gainesvillians still lamenting the loss of your beloved Zaxby's off Riverside Drive. Well, fear not — Zaxby's is coming back to town.

Happy Veterans Day week to all you veterans out there, past and present! As a special treat to mark the day, we retraced the story of a Medal of Honor recipient, born in Gainesville.

Don't forget to check out our news and links at the bottom of this email. We worked really hard on them.
